Current Projects
Angoon Small Business Center - This project assists Angoon, Alaska (a small native community) in setting up a small business center to encourage entrepreneurship and good business practices for its citizens.
Change A Light Campaign - This project encourages individuals and businesses alike to change from using traditional incandescent bulbs to more energy efficient compact fluorescent bulbs through general energy education, advertising, and trial.
Entrepreneurship Education - This project works with individuals and businesses, specifically targeting Native Alaskans, to assist in entrepreneurship needs including creating business plans, accessing Alaskan entrepreneurship resources, writing marketing plans, and the like. Current projects include Knowledge Industry Network (business plan & marketing plan), Alaskan Tribal Start-Up (business plan for native Alaskans), Team UAS (university business plan training), & Alaskan Small Business Resource Center (online resource database tailored specifically for Alaskan entrepreneurs).
Southeast Consulting - This project with various organizations throughout Alaska to provide consulting in needed areas. Current projects include the Brew Crew (consulting on coffee shop marketing efforts), Plastic Baggers (consulting businesses how to reduce their usage of plastic bags), Team Environment (consulting on how to better market environmental products), and Go International (consulting on how to take an Alaskan business to an international audience).
Virtual Investment Club - This project works to educate University of Alaska students about investing, how to have a financially stable future, as well as learn more about the corporate world.

We are always more than willing to hear your suggestions for future SIFE projects. For a project to be considered as a "SIFE" project, it must fall under one of the SIFE criteria that is listed on the "About SIFE" section of this webpage. Also, the project should pertain to Alaska since this is the Alaska SIFE team.
When making a suggestion, please include a description of the project you are suggesting, the SIFE criteria (or multiple criteria) that your suggested project meets, where you developed the idea for this project, contact information for yourself and others that may be useful for us to contact, and any other information you believe may be useful. The contact information will help us to answer any questions we may have concerning your project idea.
