The Change a Light Campaign is a project directed by the UAS SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise Team). It encourages individuals and businesses alike to change from traditional incandescent light bulbs to more energy-efficient light bulbs. Partner Organizations

SIFE is a global non-profit organization active in more than 40 countries. SIFE is funded by financial contributions from corporations, entrepreneurs, foundations, government agencies and individuals. Working in partnership with business and higher education, SIFE establishes student teams on university campuses. These teams are led by faculty advisors and they are challenged to develop community outreach projects that reach SIFE's five educational topics: * Market Economics Success Skills, Entrepreneurship, Financial Literacy, and Business Ethics.

 

ENERGY STAR is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy helping us all save money and protect the environment through energy efficient products and practices.

 

 

 

AEL&P (Alaska Electric Light and power provides hydropower to Alaska's capital city, Juneau. They have partnered with the Change a Light Campaign in an effort to reduce energy consumption.
